Let The Good Times Roll by Kenney Jones

This is the autobiography of legendary British drummer and member of 3 legendary rock groups the Small Faces, The Faces and The Who Kenney Jones. In this he talks about his upbringing in the East End of London, having dyslexia, getting his first drum at age 13, playing in bands The Sidewalkers, The Outcast and the Pioneers which the last 2 were with Ronnie Lane, forming the Small Faces with Ronnie, Steve Marriott and Jimmy Winston which he was on the first 2 singles before being replaced by Ian Maclagan and would achieve great success with hits like Itchycoo Park, All Or Nothing, Sha La La Lee, Whatcha Gonna Do About It? ,Tin Soldier, Lazy Sunday and others as well as talking about the 1968 Australian and New Zealand tour with the Who and Paul Jones and would last until 1969, forming the Faces in 1969 with Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood which they lasted until 1975 and had success with hits like Stay With Me, I'm Losing You etc as well as touring the world including the USA and Australia, joined the Who in 1978 when Keith Moon passed away and would last until 1988 which he played on 2 albums and some hits including You better You Bet, his cancer scares in 1984 with thyroid and 2013 with prostate cancer which he has survived them, his 2 marriages and many others. It's an AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB book with FANTASTIC and SUPERB stories told by Kenney as well as entertaining and I enjoyed reading it which it's been an incredible journey for from the East End Of London through to the Swinging London of the 60's as well as the stadium of the 70's and 80's. Kenney performs with his band The Jones Gang as well as having an Polo club called Hurtwood Park in Ewhurst,Surrey. This book is an must for fans of the Small Faces, The Faces and the Who as well as fans of 60's and 70's and I am giving this 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you should enjoy it and be impressed by it.
