The Hard Stuff by Wayne Kramer
This is the autobiography of legendary American guitarist and founding member of the legendary American rock band The MC5 Wayne Kramer and in this book he talks about his parents splitting up as an child, his upbringing in Detroit , learned to play guitar, played in his first band called the Bounty Hunters, becoming the MC5 performing around Detroit, recorded for Elektra and Atlantic labels which they released 3 albums including Kick Out The Jams and lasted until 1972, problems with drugs and alcohol, serving time in jail in the 70's, his 3 marriages and many others. It's AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AWESOME stories and I really enjoyed the book which it's an Amazing story too. Wayne is still performing as he has been doing the MC50 tour to celebrate 50 years when the Kick Out The Jams album was released and he has been doing composing as well and also MC5 have been nominated again for an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. MC5 have influenced many bands and let's hope for them to be inducted for the impact they have done on rock and roll. This book is an must for 60's and 70's fans as well as MC5 fans and I give this 5 stars as it's in the shops at the moment so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed.
