Normie Rowe @ Bulimba Golf Club

Last night I went to the Bulimba Golf Club to see legendary Australian singer Normie Rowe which it was my 18th time seeing Normie and it was my first time at the club. Dad took me to the club, went inside, sat on a table with a few ladies and an man, talked which I drank Coke Zero and had raffle for the Morningside State School which got burned recently. The show started at about 8pm with Normie who recently had an health scare when he got bitten by a spider came on stage and an did 2 hour set telling stories about his career including the 60's as well as the army as well as performing his classic 60's hits as well as songs from his CD Missing In Action as well as his 1976 Brisbane hit Elizabeth and getting the crowd entertained to sing along to the hits as well as great sense of humour and backed by an great band including Mick Martin on guitar and Gus Fenwick who played bass on Normie's 1975 album out of the Blue. The show finished after 10pm, saw Greta Webb(Kim's Mum) as well as an guy from work, saw Mick martin which he had been away overseas, Normie had CD's on sale which I bought one of them and got it signed and got an photo too, went outside, dad picked up and came home. it was an FANTASTIC show which everyone enjoyed themselves including myself and Normie sounded great as it was great to see him back performing on stage after 5 weeks as well as the band were FANTASTIC which great guitar playing by Mick and also I look forward to see Normie again soon which to those who have not seen Normie Rowe live please do yourselves an favour and see him which you will be impressed and entertained by an true legend of Australian music who is still singing great at age 71.
