Green Book
This afternoon I went to the South Bank Cinema where I saw Green Book and it's based on the true story. Frank "Tony Lip" Vallenlonga(Viggo Mortensen) is an New York bouncer working at the Copacabana is looking for work as the club has closed due to renovations and goes to an interview with Don Shirley an pianist (Mahershala Ali) who is looking for a driver to go with him on an 8 week tour of the Mid West and Deep South which he accepts it and also embarking to be back by Christmas Eve in New York. They go on the tour which Tony and Don clash early on due to their ways about each others but as time goes by Tony is impressed with Don's piano playing and also appalled by the way he's being treated by their hosts and the public when not performing due to his colour as well as Don helps Tony writes letters to his wife Delores (Linda Cardellini) which she is moved and it gets interesting. It's touching, very funny, Brilliant, Superb and Fantastic with Top, Brilliant and Superb acting by Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali who are both nominated for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars and Linda Cardellini. It's directed by Peter Farrelly who also produced it with Jim Burke, Charles B Wessler, Brian Hayes Currie and Nick Vallenlonga( son of Tony) who along with Brian and Peter also did the screenplay and also the movie is nominated for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing. I give this 5 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and see it.
