Malcolm Young by Jeff Apter
This book is about the late rhythm guitarist and founding member of legendary Australian rock band AC/DC Malcolm Young and it talks about his coming to Australia in the 60's with his family including brothers George and Angus where they settled at Villawood Migrant Hostel, played in bands Beelzebub and Velvet Underground(an local band Not the Band with Lou Reed, John Cale and Nico), forming AC/DC in 1973 with brother Angus who would achieve great success in Australia and overseas with classics like Highway To Hell, It's A Long Way To The Top, High Voltage, Back In Black and many others, surviving the tragic loss of Bon Scott in 1980, going through issues including alcoholism as well as being diagnosed with dementia which led sadly to his passing in 2017 and many others. IT's AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stories and it's entertaining and an enjoyable read as well as impressive and Jeff Apter who wrote the book about Angus Young as well as co written former bass player Mark Evans' book Dirty Deeds has done an Brilliant job doing this book and an effort well done so here's to you Jeff. It's been nearly 2 years since the passing of Malcolm Young but the great music of AC/DC lives on and this is an must for AC/DC fans. I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed.
