The Hoax Is Over by the Aztecs
In January 1971 the Aztecs released the album The hoax Is Over which went to number 7 in Australia and it only had 4 tracks including the song Gangster of Love which one of the lyrics got beeped and it is out on cd as an double edition. Besides from the 4 original tracks which thanks to Aztecs Drummer Gil Matthews who is also an remastering engineer has reinserted the word that was beeped on Gangster of Love for maximum impact it has bonus tracks which includes Billy Thorpe's 1967 single Dream Baby the Roy Orbison song with the b side You Don't Live Twice, Good Morning Little Schoolgirl/Rock me Baby from 1970, live recordings that has never been released including Pinball Wizard, Season of the Witch as well as live recordings from Bondi Lifesaver as well as the 1994 promo song for the Sydney Rugby League as well as demos of songs like It's Almost Summer and Believe It Just Like Me as well as demos by Gil Matthews and Warren "The Pig "Morgan and one by Bruce Howard . It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC songs as well as the bonus tracks they sound great too as well as hearing Dream Baby which it is wonderful to see it on CD and is well worth listening. The booklet is FANTASTIC too and it is fantastic to see this album out on CD . This is an must for Billy Thorpe fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops as well as online at aztecrecords.com.au so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it.
