 This is the autobiography of former American Tennis player Billie Jean King and in this book  she talks about her upbringing in California,  playing softball and basketball, starting playing Tennis in the 50's, winning 39 grand slam singles, doubles and mixed doubles in the 60's ,70's and 80's doing tennis training in Australia in the 60's , her marriage to Larry which lasted until 1987, the battle of the sexes game with Bobby Riggs in 1973, encounters with Margaret Court, Arthur Ashe, Althea Gibson, Martina Navratilova etc,her issues with eating disorder, her sexuality, fighting for equality in Tennis, being outed in 1981 and many others. it is BRILLIANT, FANTASTIC and SUPERB with FANTATSIC, Impressive and Very entertaining  stories about the era  in tennis and playing a part in change in the game as well as her personal issues  particularly being gay in the 60's and 70's in the public eye was different  as it is now as well as being a feminist. A real pioneer who fought for change. It is well worth a read and it is an must for tennis fans. I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be amazed.
