Songs For While I'm Away

This afternoon I went to the city at the Elizabeth Cinema where I saw the documentary Songs For While I'm Away which it's about Phil Lynott musician, singer and songwriter of the legendary rock band Thin Lizzy. In this documentary it talks about his upbringing in Ireland, being raised by his grandparents, playing in Bands including the Black Eagles, forming Thin Lizzy in 1969 and would achieve success in the 70's and 80's with classic albums Jailbreak, Live and Dangerous, Bad Reputation and hit singles including the classic the Boys Are Back In Town, Whiskey In The Jar, Sarah and many others and it has interviews with surviving members Eric Bell, Scott Gorham, Darren Wharton and Midge Ure, Suzi Quatro, Huey Lewis, Phil's daughters Sarah and Cathleen, his Uncle Peter, his cousin Monica, his wife Caroline, Adam Clayton of U2, James Hetfield of Metallica and others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB as well as touching and very entertaining with stories from those involved talking about Phil and it's an amazing story which I am sure any Thin Lizzy fan would go and see . It is 35 years since Phil Lynott passed away but has left an incredible legacy in the music which still lives on today and the Boys Are Back In Town still gets played which it's amazing and also the band with long time member Scott Gorham are likely to tour next year. This is an must for Thin Lizzy fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT Which you will love it.
