Classic Album-The Other Side Of Life by the Moody Blues
For the classic album segment let's have a look at the 1986 album The Other Side Of Life by legendary British band the Moody Blues. This was recorded at Good Earth Studios London and it was released April 9th 1986 through Polydor which it went to number 9 in the USA , number 24 in the UK and number 34 in Australia. From the album had the 2 hit singles Your Wildest Dreams (number 9 in the USA, number 20 Australia and number 10 Brisbane) and the title Track (number 58 in the USA, number 80 Australia and number 38 Brisbane) both written by Justin Hayward and the album was produced by Tony Visconti who worked with David Bowie, Badfinger, T Rex and Paul McCartney and Wings which included ex Moody Blue Denny Laine. Besides from the 2 hit singles the rest of the tracks 1 other Justin Hayward song, 2 John Lodge songs, 2 written by Justin and John and 1 written by Keyboard player and ex Yes member Patrick Moraz who was with the Moodies since 1978 and Graeme Edge. It is an great album with great songs with an great sound which holds up very well to this day and still sounds great today as it did back then. Your Wildest Dreams still gets played on the radio to this day which it's great to see and with the recent passing of drummer Graeme Edge I thought I'd do this as a tribute as well as the great legacy he has left us with. It is still in the shops somewhere in the world and please do yourselves an favour and BUY It which I am sure you love it and is worth playing again and again.
