Revolver by the Beatles
On August 5th 1966 rock group the Beatles released their 7th album Revolver which it went to number 1 in the UK, number 1 in the USA and number 1 in Australia and from the album it had the double sided hit Yellow Submarine/Eleanor Rigby. The album came out the same month when they did their final American tour before retiring from live performances and concertrating in the studio as the stuff they did on the album they could not do it live on stage as there wasn't the technology avaliable at that time and also this album along with Rubber Soul and Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band were the best albums they made as this was their creative period as they were experimenting with different sounds . It is now being reissued again and I am reviewing the double CD edition. On the first CD it has the original tracks that was on the album and on the second Cd it has Paperback Writer and Rain as well as outakes of different tracks as well as different takes as well as the booklet which Sir Paul mcCartney and Giles Martin son of producer Sir George Martin did the liner notes. IT is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME songs that has stood the test of time and they sound as great today as it did back then. The reissued album went to number 2 in the UK and Australia and this album is one of the great albums in the history of rock and roll. I am giving this 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it and be impressed and amazed.
