Finding The Voice

This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema at Carindale to see the documentary Finding The Voice about legendary Australian singer John Farnham and in this documentary talks about his start in the 60's with Sadie The Cleaning Lady as well as One, Raindrops Keep Falling In My Head as well as being King Of Pop, his struggles in the mid 70's going from Johnny to John, had an come back with Help in 1980, joining Little River Band, going through financial issues and coming back in an big way with Whispering Jack the album becoming one of the great Australian albums of all time and many others and it has interviews with record producer David Mackay, Bev Harrell, His sons Robert and James, Celine Dion, Richard Marx, Daryl Braithwaite, Jimmy Barnes, Gaynor Wheatley, Glenn Wheatley in one of his very last interviews before passing away last year, Olivia Newton John in one of her very last interviews before passing away last year, Ross Fraser, Graeham Goble, Tommy Emmanuel and many others as well as archival interviews with John Farnham and former manager Darryl Sambell. IT's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB as well as sad and touching with FANTASTIC stories which some I had not known before and it is an amazing story of an man who is going through health issues at the moment been around since the 60's and to achieve the success he has done is wonderful. It's directed by Poppy Stockell and this is an must for John Farnham fans which I give it 5 stars as it is in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed. Let's hope for more Australian music documentaries about Aussie legends.
