Neil Diamond Inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame 2011

Last Wednesday it was announced that along with Alice cooper, Dr John, Darlene Love and Tom Waits US singer- songwriter Neil Diamond has been inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame 2011 and I am so glad that he is there because he's done so much for music back in the 60's and 70's which it's long overdue but it's great that he is there. He's been on the scene since 1966 when he had his first hit with Solitary Man (no 55 USA) but he had first top ten with Cherry Cherry and would go onto many more hits including You got to Me, Thank the Lord For The Night Time, Girl You'll be a Woman Soon, Sweet Caroline, Song Sung Blue, Kentucky Woman, Holly Holly, Shilo, Cracklin Rosie and many others that still endures today and many successful albums including Stones, Moods, Serenade, Beautiful Noise, Home Before Dark(US no 1, UK no 1 and no 9 Australia 2008) and his latest Dreams (no 8 in the USA & UK and no 5 in Australia). His famous live album "Hot August Night" was released in 1972 which it was no 1 in Australia,no 5 in the USA and no 21 in the UK and that album is one of the biggest selling albums in Australia. I saw Neil Diamond @ Brisbane Entertainment Center on Tuesday March 15th 2005 and he put on an FANTASTIC show that night which he was FANTASTIC and 29 years before that my Aunty Dawn who passed away on November 24th 1986 went to see him in Sydney in 1976 which among the audience there was former Australia Prime Minster Gough Whitlam so when I think about my seeing Neil Diamond it reminds me of Aunty Dawn. Neil is coming back to Australia in march and if you want to go and see him live GO & See Him as he puts on an FANTASTIC show. congratulations to Neil for his induction into the rock'n'roll hall of fame
