Gerry and the Pacemakers Australian tour 2011

In March this year, legendary British 60's pop group Gerry and the Pacemakers are touring Australia with Melbourne rock group the All Stars as the support act. Gerry Marsden along with his brother Freddie on drums, Les Chadwick on Bass guitar and Arthur Mack on piano which he was eventually replaced by Les Maguire in 1959 in Liverpool. The group played around Liverpool and Germany and were managed by Brian Epstein who managed the Beatles, Cilla Black and others which in 1963 signed up with EMI columbia. From 1963-67 had hits like How Do You It, I Like it, You'll never Walk Alone, I'm the one, Don't Let the Sun catch you crying, Ferry Cross the Mersey and many others and made their very first Australian tour in April 1964 with Gene Pitney,Dusty Springfield and Brian Poole and the Tremeloes which they played in brisbane @ Festival Hall on April 20th and Melbourne on April 14th and 16th. The group disbanded in 1967 and Gerry Marsden went to do musicals like Charlie Girl and Pull Both Ends. He reformed the pacemakers in the 70's and are still touring the world to this day. To those who wants to see them Go and see them as I am sure they will put on a great show and it will be my first time seeing an actual show of them as I have seen Gerry before but were actually on the bill of the British 60's concert @ Festival hall in Brisbane on Saturday february 11th 1995 AND 2 Reelin & Rockin shows @ Kedron-Wavell Thursday February 14th 2002 and Twin Towns Saturday June 7th 2003 during Wintersun.
