An phone call from an Australian rock'n'roller

It will be 5 years this year when I had 2 phone calls from an legendary Australian rock'n'roll singer from the 60's and his name is Merv Benton. Merv Benton remembered for hits like Cincinnati Fireball, I got Burned, Yield Not To Temptation, Come On and get me, it's love baby and others and appeared on TV shows like the Go Show, Bandstand, Sing Sing Sing etc. I was doing an guest stint one Saturday each month for 3 months from April 8th-July 15th 2006 on a community radio station "BAY FM 100.3" which it's based in Thornlands on a show called "Good Timez Rock'n'Roll hosted by Kay howick when it happened and how it was all done was when kay saw Mum and Dad at Wintersun in Coolangatta in 2006 which it was arranged so Mum & dad knew about it but I didn't know what was going on. So when i had the phone call on Wednesday June 14th in the afternoon which I didn't know who it was and this voice said "hello Luke this is Merv Benton" which I was amazed so we got talking about his career, his farewell concert, how I got into the music, telling me that he had 2 grandchildren, as well as people like Max Merritt,Billy Thorpe, Ray Brown and also USA different to Australia like people getting jobs at a certain age like 50,60+. The 2nd call was on Monday August 21st and we spoke about the concert, shows like Bandstand and the Go Show, people like the Bee gees, Olivia Newton John, the Strangers, touring with Cilla Black, the Long Way To The Top concert which he was asked but couldn't go, recording and getting offers for more shows. it was amazing, an honour and thrill to get these phone calls from this Australian rocker who don't get an lot of recognition and should be inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame for the impact he's done for Aussie rock. I will never forget this experience and very lucky as well.
