Hearts In their Eyes The Searchers
Hearts In Their Eyes is the new boxed 4 CD set by legendary British 60's group the Searchers. In this boxed CD it has their hits from 1963-66 as well as many of the album tracks from their Pye years as well as songs they recorded in the 70's and 80's as well as radio interviews, the demo sessions at the Iron Club in Liverpool as well as the live recordings at the Star Club in hamburg, Germany as well as solo recordings by Chris Curtis the Searchers drummer till 1966 as well as TOny jackson and the Vibrations an group he formed after leaving the Searchers in july 1964 and many great gems on it. It's an BRILLIANT and boxed CD set with great songs on it and brilliantly put together by Bob Stanley and Jon Savage which has an booklet of great pictures and stories on it as well as covering the history of the group from the 1960's when they recorded for Pye Records through to Liberty,RCA,Sire,PRT and Coconut up to now and they have never had an box set treatment until now. It well worth listening as the band are celebrating 50 years and still going strong with original member John McNally and long time member since 1964 Frank Allen as well as Mike Pender performing with his own band Mike Pender's Searchers and they have remained an lasting influence on people like the Byrds, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the La's and many others and let's hope they get inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame soon. it's an must for any fans of the 60's as well as fans of the Searchers and I give this 5 stars which it's currently in the shops now.
