Benson The Autobiography by George Benson
Benson the Autobiography is the autobiography of legendary American singer George Benson. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Pittsburgh, began singing as a child as well as playing guitar, sang in a group called the Altairs, working with Brother Jack McDuff on the Chitlin Circuit, working with with Miles Davis an jazz musician, performing with people like Rod Stewart, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, BB King, Ben E King, Benny Goodman and many others. It's an excellent book and a enjoyable one with excellent and interesting stories which I really enjoyes reading it. This book is co written by Alan Goldsher who is a music and culture writer as well as as being an author of 11 books and entertainer Bill Cosby does the foreword. George Benson is still recording and touring after all these years and still going strong. This book is a must for any George Benson fans as well as jazz music fans and I am giving this 4 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
