Live Wire by Mary Renshaw, John D'Arcy and Gabby D'Arcy

Live Wire is an book about AC/DC lead singer Bon Scott written by 3 people who knew him John D'Arcy who was an roadie for the Valentines an group that Bon was an member in the late 60's who had an hit called My Old Man's A Groovy Old Man as well as working with other Australian rock bands as well as working on the first tour for singer Leo Sayer, Gabby D'Arcy who is married to John was 14 when she met the Valentines and went out with John 2 years later which they are still together to this day and Mary Renshaw an soulmate who had met Bon Scott in 1967 at an Valentines gig when he admired the beads she was wearing and asked if she could make him more which they would become friends from then on. In this book they talked about the Bon Scott we never knew which we learn what was it like to be his friend as well as living and touring and becoming part of the close knit world that of the biggest bands in the world emerged as well the humor, the intelligence and warmth of the man as well as talking about the lifestyle and from the the days of the Valentines, living in Melbourne and the early days of ACDC etc. It is an BRILLIANT, SUPERB and an FANTASTIC book with great and BRILLIANT stories which I enjoyed reading it very much. It's 35 years since Bon Scott passed away but his work in the Valentines, Fraternity and AC/DC lives on to this day and of course AC DC are still touring which they are currently touring Australia at the moment. This book is a must for AC DC fans as well as fans of Australian music and I give this 5 stars which it's in the shops so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
