Mothering Sunday
This afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo to see the movie Mothering Sunday. It's 1924 on Mother's Day and Jane Fairchild (Odessa Young) who is an maide for the Nivens Godfrey(Colin Firth) and his wife Clairre (Olivia Colman) is given an day to do whatever she pleases and is invited by an wealthy neighbour named Paul Sheringham (Josh O'Connor) which they have been an sexual affair for years and he is due to marry Emma Hobday(Emma D'Arcy) which they have mixed feelings about getting married but they have to and later on in her life Jane marries Donald(Sope Dirisu) an philospher and the it gets interesting. It is beautiful, excellent and very entertaining with great acting by Odessa Young, Colin Firth, Olivia Colman, Glenda Jackson in her first movie appearance in 32 years as the older Jane, Josh O'Connor,Emma D'Arcy and Sope Dirisu, directed by Eva Husson, produced by Stephen Karlsen and Stephen Woolley and Alice Birch did the screenplay. I give it 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
