The Australian Buddy Holly Show and the Girls Of Rock and Roll Show @ the Queen Elizabeth Stage
On Friday afternoon I went back to the Queen Elizabeth Stage to see the Australian Buddy Holly Show for the second time that week as I saw Chris at Twin Towns and the Girls of Rock and Roll with Jodie Joy which it was my first time seeing her which Chris had told me a bit about her at Twin Towns. The show started at 1.15pm with Jodie doing an set of the female singers clasics by Dusty Springfield, Connie Francis and Wanda Jackson and the Chris Knight came on stage doing many of the Buddy Holly classics as well as other rock classics by Elvis Presley, Ritchie Valens, Jerry Lee Lewis and at the end of the show when Chris was doing Johnny Be Goode Jodie joined him on stage doing the song. The show finished at 2.45pm, had a look at Pawnbroker shop where I bought records and walk back to the Blue C. It was FANTASTIC and ROCKING with an FANTASTIC set by Chris as well as an FANTASTIC set done by Jodie backed up by a great band with Bill Hillman on guitar, Gail Kelle on bass, Graham on piano and Les on drums and everyone having an great time including myself which I always enjoy seeing Chris live and is worth seeing live again and again as he played great music of an great era in rock and roll. If you have not seen him live please do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will love it.
