The new entries in the charts that week were The Beatles at number 12 with Can't Buy Me Love, The Swinging Blue Jeans at number 28 with their version of the Little Richard song Good Golly Miss Molly,The Beatles at number 34 with Please Please Me, Vic Dana at number 35 with Shangri-La and The Beatles with Tony Sheridan at number 39 with Cry For A Shadow and besides from Johnny O'Keefe the other Australian acts on the charts that week were Judy Stone at number 8 with 4,003,221 Tears From Now, Little Pattie at number 32 with the song written by Jay Justin and Joe Halford We're Gonna Have A Party Tonight, The Cicadas at number 38 with That's What I Want and Jimmy Hannan who was hosting the music show Saturday Date at the time was at number 40 with the double sided Hokey Pokey Stomp/You Make Me Happy.
