Everly Brothers and Roy Orbison Show @ Redland Performing Arts Centre
Yesterday afternoon I went to the Redland Performing Arts Centre seeing the Robertson Brothers and Dean Bourne doing the Everly Brothers and Roy Orbison show as it was my second time seeing the Robertson Brothers as I saw the at Redland a year ago when they did the 60's with Cosima De Vito and Simon Brook McLachlan. I caught the bus from Carindale to Cleveland, walk to Redland Performing Arts Centre, rang Dad, bought $50 Pack which had CD's towel and USB, went inside and waited. The show began after 2pm with intro by Bobby Lee Dean Bourne starts off with Ooby Dooby and the Robertson Brothers came on stage doing the Everly Brothers classics from the 50's and early 60's which they were backed up by the guitarist Dieter and the online orchestra and the bassist, pianist and drummer as well as doing songs by the acts who were influenced by the Everly brothers including Simon and Garfunkel and the Beatles and Dean came back doing a few more Roy Orbison from the early 60's and there was an interval where I bought a Cookie and Coke with No Sugar and bought an Dean Bourne CD and went back inside. The second half of the show started with Dean Bourne doing Candy Man and the Robertson Brothers doing a few more Everly Brothers classics from the early 60's, Dean came back to do most of the Roy Orbison Classics from the 60's as well as Deiter the guitarist doing the Shadows medley as well as the Robertson Brothers doing the backing vocals to Dean Bourne and also the show ended with 2 of the 80's songs done by Roy including Handle With Care by the Travelling Wilburys. The show finished at 4.25pm, went to Coles where I bought Grain Chips and Coke With No Sugar, caught bus to Carindale, had dinner at Carindale Hotel, Dad picked me up and Came home. It was an FANTASTIC show with The Robertson Brothers did an FANTASTIC job doing the Everly Brothers songs which they sounded great and Dean did an FANTASTIC job doing Roy Orbison which he wore the suit and tie as well as the glasses as well as doing the songs so very well with guitar playing by Dieter as well as the back up bands on the screen were FANTASTIC too. The Robertson Brothers and Dean Bourne will be back in Brisbane on August 28th at the Powerhouse and if you would like to see them please do yourselves a favour and SEE THEM which you will be impressed and entertained.
