Only Ever Evonne by Evonne Goolagong Cawley
This is the autobiography of legendary Australian tennis player Evonne Goolagong Cawley and in the book she talks about her upbringing in Barellan, starting playing Tennis at an young age, moved to Sydney at age 12 with coach Vic Edwards who played an big part in her career, winning 7 Grand Slam single titles including Wimbeldon twice in 1971 and 1980 as a mother which had not been done since 1914, her marriage to Roger Cawley in 1975 which they are still together, living in America until the early 90's when they returned to Australia to live, her encounters with people including Margaret Court, Chris Evert, Glen Campbell and Billie Jean King, learning about her culture and many others. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth a read and there has been interest recently about Evonne as there was an mini series shown on the ABC in January this tear called Goolagong. This is a must for Australian sport fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops so please do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
