Wally and the Gators show @ Moreton Bay Sports Club

On Friday May 3rd I went to the Moreton Bay Sports Club to see Wally and the Gators which it was my 5th time seeing them and I had dinner there which I had Pork Cutlet,chips and salad as well as having an cake for desert. The show started at 7pm and for the next 4 hours they did 4 great sets doing stuff by Elvis presley, Cliff Richard, The Everly brothers, Daddy Cool, ABBA, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Little Richard and others as well as getting an photo with the group during one of the breaks which for the next 3 sets sat at the table with Wally and the band as well as talking about Joe Meek the British record producer back in the 60's which Wally has an CD of it. The Show finished @ 11pm which I thanked Wally and Andrew and I caught the courtesy bus home. It was an FANTASTIC show and everyone had an great time including myself as well as Wally and the band did an FANTASTIC show which they played great too. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stuff and amazing information about the Go Show which just celebrated 60 years an month ago and Kommotion as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read.
