Delta Lady A Memoir is the autobiography of legendary American singer-songwriter Rita Coolidge. In this book she talks about her upbringing in Tennessee and Florida, went to Memphis where she sang around , got discovered by Bonnie and Delaney, moved to Los Angeles where she was an back up singer working with people like Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton, Leon Russell and others, her relationships with drummer Jim Gordon, Graham Nash and Stephen Stills, her marriage to Kris Kristofferson which they have a daughter which lasted from 1973-80, having great success in the 70's with hits like Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher and Higher and We're All Alone, the death of her sister Priscilla in 2004 and others. It is an excellent book to read with very good and great stories and this book was co written by Michael Walker who has written books about music as well as for the New York Times and the Hollywood Reporter.
