Don't You Leave Me Here Wilko Johnson
Don't You Leave Me Here is the autobiography of English Musician Wilko Johnson of the legendary English group Dr Feelgood. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Canvey Island, getting an guitar as an teenager, played in groups including the Flowerpots, studied @ Newcastle University, going to India, his marriage to Irene whom they had 2 sons which would last until her passing in 2004, teaching Shakespeare in Essex, forming the band Dr Feelgood which he would be with them until 1977, played with Ian Dury and the Blockheads, diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer which he was given 9 or 10 months to live but had an operation and many others. It is an excellent book with excellent stories told by Wilko and it's an enjoyable read. It's a miracle that Wilko Johnson is still alive and he is still going which he has just done an UK tour as well as having some European dates for next year. This book is a must for fans of 70's music as well as fans of Dr Feelgood and Ian Dury and the Blockheads which I give it 4 stars and it's in the shops now so do yourselves a favour and BUY IT.
