The Aftermath

Tonight I went to the Balmoral Cinema to see the movie the Aftermath. It's after World War 2 Rachael Morgan (Keira Knightley) arrived in Hamburg Germany meeting up with her husband Lewis (Jason Clarke) who is an British Colonel going through the ruins of Hamburg to the grand house they are sharing with the former owners Stefan Lubert (Alexander Skarsgard) an German widower with an troubled daughter Freda (Flora Theimann). there is tensions between Rachael and Lewis as she has been through the loss of her son which Lewis is more focused on moving on with his life and Stefan and Rachael take an liking to each other which gets interesting/ It's interesting and excellent with great acting by Keira Knightley, Jason Clarke, Alexander Starsgard and Alexander Scheer. It is an great story but kind of lacks in other parts but it well worth seeing anyway. It's directed by James Kent, produced by Ridley Scott, Malte Grunet and Jack Abruthnott and screenplay by Joe Sharpnel and Anna Waterhouse. I am giving it 3 and an half stars and it's in the cinemas now as it was released yesterday so do yourselves an favour and see it.
