Poms

I went to the Balmoral Cinema this morning to see the movie Poms. Martha (Diane Keaton) has moved into the Sun Spring retirement Village where she meets Sheryl (Jackie Weaver) and along with Alice(Rhea Perlman), Helen(Phyllis Somerville), Olive(Pam Grier), Evelyn (Ginny McColl), Phyllis(Patricia French) and Ruby (Carol Sutton) to form an cheerleading squad despite some reservations about their ages and with the help of Chloe (Alisha Boe) they start to shape up and it starts to get interesting. It's FANTASTIC, very funny, very witty and very entertaining with great acting by Diane Keaton, Jackie Weaver, Pam Grier, Rhea Perlman, Phyllis Sommerville, Ginny McColl, Patricia French, Carol Sutton, Celia Weston, Alisha Boe, Charlie Tahan and Bruce McGill. It's directed by Zara Hayes who also did the story with Shane Atkinson and producers were Rose Ganguzza, Celyn Jones, Sean Marley, Kelly McCormick, Ade Shannon and Andy Evans. It's an feel good comedy and well worth seeing and an it proves that it is never too late to chase an dream . I am giving this 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and see it which you'll have an good laugh.
