This is the posthumous memoir of legendary American movie actor Paul Newman and it started with himself and Stewart Stern an screenwriter between 1986 until 1991 interviewed people who knew him including his family, friends, childhood friends and people he worked with over the years for a memior but it stopped in 1991 which 2 years ago was found in an family storage unit which has been edited into this book. In this book talks about his upbringing in Ohio, his relationship with his parents, serving in the Navy, started acting in college, his first marriage to Jackie Witte which they had 3 children, started acting on broadway and Television as well as the movies, his break up with Jackie, his second marriage to actress Joanne Woodward that would last 50 years which they had 3 daughters, the loss of his son Scott, encounters with people like Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Redford, John Huston, his love for car racing, his charities and many others. It is FANTASTIC. BRILLIANT and SUPERB with fantastc, funny, touching and very entertaining stories and it is well worth an read. His daughters Melissa did the foreword and younger daughter Clea did the afterword and David Rosenthal did the compililng and editing. 1t's been 14 years since the passing of Paul Newman but his movies are still watched to this day and still endures and Joanne Woodward is still alive but sadly has Alzheimers. It is great to see his life story told by himself is out which he could tell tell what it was really like and set the record straight. This is an must for movie fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
