The Lives of Brian by Brian Johnson
This is the autobiography of lead singer of the legendary Australian rock band AC/DC Brian Johnson and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Dunston, joining the Scouts, singing in the choir, played in early groups Toasty Folk Trio, Section 5, The Nine Pins, Gobi Desert Kanone Klub, Fresh, Jasper Hart Band Buffalo and USA , forming Geordie which had some succesful hit singles in the UK, encounters with Chuck Berry, Roger Daltrey and Alex Harvey, joining AC/DC in 1980 when Bon Scott passed away, achieving huge success with the Back In Black album, the problems of his hearing which led him to leave the band in 2016 but came back for the 2020 album Power Up, the passing of Malcolm Young in 2017 after his battle with dementia and many others. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read. Brian is the second member of AC/DC to write his autobiography as bassist Mark Evans from 1975-77 wrote one in 2011 called Dirty Deeds My Life Inside/Outside of AC/DC and Brian performed at the recent tribute concert for Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters who passed away early this year. This is an must for AC/DC fans which I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
