Los Angeles Forum April 26th 1969 by the Jimi Hendrix Experience
On April 26th 1969 the Jimi Hendrix Experience performed at the Los Angeles Forum which on the bill with them were Chicago Transit Authority soon to become Chicago and Cat Mother and the All Night Newsboys and was presented by LA AMradio station KRLA which air personality Jimmy Rabbitt introduced him and did the 11 song set which some of the show had been as part of the short lived box set Westwood One Radio (Lifelines 1990-92) but the whole show has never been released until now and it is out which among the songs that is on the CD including Foxy Lady, Purple Haze, Star Spangled Banner and Voodoo Child. It is FANTASTIC, AWESOME and ROCKIN with FANTASTIC and the playing is just FANTASTIC with great playing by Hendrix, Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding and is well worth listening to. Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top does the liner notes as well as Randy Lewis who covered pop music as an writer and critic for the Los Angeles Times from 1981-2020 and also it was produced by Jimi Hendrix's sister Janie, Eddie Kramer an legendary music producer who had with Jimi in that era and John McDermott for Experience Hendrix LLC. It has been 52 years since the passing of Jimi Hendrix but the great music he made still lives on and just as great today as it did back then. This is an must for Jimi Hendrix fans and I give it 5 stars as itt's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it.
