Burnin by John Lee Hooker
In March 1962 American blues singer John Lee Hooker released the album Burnin which was recorded in Chicago at Universial Recording Corporation October 26th produced by Calvin Carter and the backing band was the Funk Brothers who played on many of the Motown records in the 60's and from this album had the hit single Boom Boom which was later an hit for the Animals in 1964 which the album is out now on CD. Besides from the original tracks from the album both mono and stereo and it has an bonus track which it;s the alternate take of Thelma. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC songs and it is still sounds great today which holds up very well as well as being bluesy and the great guitar sound. It's being 22 years this year since the passing of John Lee Hooker but the great music he made lives on forever and still an influence for many blues musicians. I am giving this 4 and an half stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it.
