Little Stevie's 60's Sensation @ the Coolangatta Sands Hotel

On Friday June 9th I went to the Coolangatta Sands Hotel to see Brisbane group Little Stevie and the Tail Fins doing the 60's Sensation show and I have not not seen the band live since Sunday June 11th 2017 at Twin Towns. The show started @ 12pm and they did 2 sets doing the 60's classics which in the first set they performed hits from the 60's by Creedence, Hermans Hermits, Elvis, The Kinks, Dave Clark Five, The Easybeats and The Searchers and there was an interval which I used my mobile and saw Geoff who is from Little Stevie and the Tail Fins. In the Second set the band played songs by the Beatles, Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs, The Monkees, Manfred Mann and Chubby Checker and everyone enjoying themeselves dancing on the floor as the place was getting packed. The show finished at 2pm which I then hello to Stephen and it was an FANTASTIC show which everyone had an great time as well as the band were FANTASTIC playing great songs from an great era which still lives on today and the band wore an floral collar shirts which looked great. I look forward to seeing the show again and if you have not seen it Do Yourselves an favour and SEE IT Which you will love it. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists.
