The New Boy
Last Sunday I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo to see the Australian movie The New Boy. It's the 1940's and an 9 year old aboriginal oprhan (Aswan Reid) is brought to the remote monastrey in the middle of the night which it's run by Sister Eileen (Cate Blanchett) along with Sister Mum(Debroah Mailman) and George(Wayne Blair) who manage the farmlands which he forms connections with them and has unusual powers and is established at the monastrey and also it gets interesting throughout the film. It is FANTASTIC with FANTASTIC acting by Aswan Reid, Cate Blanchett, Deborah Mailman and Wayne Blair and this is one of Cate Blanchett's finest performances which any role she plays she does it so very well. She is one of the producers along with Kath Shelper, Andrew Upton and Lorenzo De Maio and it was directed by Warwick Thornton who also did the screenplay and cinematography. Nick Cave and Warwick Ellis does the music. I give it 4 stars and it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed. Let's support Australian movies.
