Scattershot by Bernie Taupin

This is the autobiography of English-American songwriter and lyricist Bernie Taupin and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Lincolnshire, worked for the Lincolshire Standard, meeting Elton John (Reg Dwight) in 1967 which started the songwriting partnership that is still going today, worked for music publisher Dick James's company DJM, the scene of 70's and 80s' Beverley Hills, the songs he wrote with Elton john as well as stories behind them, his encounters with Frank Sinatra, John Lennon, Oliver Reed, Hank marvin, working with Alice Cooper, playing in the Farm Dogs band and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AWESOME and FANTASTIC stories as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read. Bernie is based in America and is going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for Musical Excellence this year which is long overdue and he truly deserves it for the impact he has made on popular music. This is an must for music fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed reading about an music icon.
