4BK Top 10 charts November 1964
This is from the Telegraph november 18th 1964 (60 Years ago) and this was the 4BK Top 10 with the Searchers who were in Brisbane the month before with Del Shannon, Peter and Gordon, Eden Kane and Dinah Lee at number 1 with their version of the Jackie De Shannon song When You Walk In The Room which was the first single with member Frank Allen playing on it as he replaced original bass player Tony Jackson, the Kinks at number 2 with You Really Got Me, Ray Columbus and the Invaders who was also on the tour with The Searchers, Del Shannon, Peter and Gordon, Eden Kane and Dinah Lee that played in Brisbane at Festival Hall the month before at number 3 with their version of the Senators song She's A Mod, Jay and the Americans at number 4 with Come A Little Bit Closer, Sounds Incorporated who toured with the Beatles in Australia 5 months before at number 5 with William Tell Overtrue/Maria, Elvis Presley at number 6 with Ask Me/Ain't That Loving You Baby, Burl Ives at number 7 with Pearly Shells, New Zealand born Canadian singer Gale Carnett at number 8 with We'll Sing In The Sunshine, The Zombies at number 9 with She's Not There and Cliff Richard who will be at the Brisbane Convention Centre next year at number 10 with his version of the Johnny Mathis song The Twelfth Of Never.
