It's Because I Love You by Karin Keays
This is the memoir of Karin Keays widow of Australian music legend Jim Keays who was from the iconic Australian rock band The Masters Apprentices and in this book she talks about moving to Melbourne from the Gold Coast, meeting Jim Keays who would become her husband which would last for 25 years which they would have 2 daughters Holly and Bonnie, her husband's music career, the birth of their 3rd child an son named William who would sadly pass away 6 hours after birth which would lead to the courtroom drama that would last for 2 years and many others. It is sad, touch, Amazing and Brilliant with amazing stories and how Karin got through this sad time which it is well worth an read. Karin has been busy promoting the book as well as Jim's solo CD that he recorded in 2000 but never came out at that time Caledonia and the Masters Apprentices documentary Turn Up Your Video which is now on DVD and to those in Brisbane she will be appearing at Sonic Sherpa in Greenslopes next Thursday December 5th at 6pm. It has been 10 years since Jim Keays' passing but the music he made with the Masters Apprentices as well as his solo work live on forever and there is an second book coming out as there is excerpts at the end of the book. This is an must for Masters Apprentices fans and I give this 4 and an half stars as you can get it on line at karinkeays.com so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
