Songs In The Key Of Motown Show @ Kedron Wavell

Last night I went to Kedron Wavell where the tribute show Songs In The Key Of Motown show which it was my second time seeing that show as I saw it an year ago on the Sunday afternoon. Dad took me to the bus stop, caught bus to Chermside and walk to Kedron Wavell. Went to the Kitchen, rang Dad, had Chicken Schnitzel, chips and Salad for dinner, drank Coke With No Sugar and ate Fundae which I went to the lady about it after my meal. Drank Coke with No Sugar, went to the Blue Pacific Room, write notes and use my mobile. The show started at 8.05pm with Spectrum from Las Vegas coming on stage wearing red and white performing the songs by the Jacksons as well as Stevie Wonder and Radiance who also dressed in red came on stage which they did songs by The Pointer Sisters, Martha and the Vandellas and the Supremes which at the end of the first set Spectrum came back on stage to sing with the Radiance. There was an interval which I had an Coke With No Sugar and in the second set Spectrum came back on stage this time wearing silver and white performed songs by the The Four Tops and Temptations and one of the ladies from Radiance came back on stage when they did the Gladys Knight and the Pips song Midnight Train To Georgia which the rest of the Radiance ladies came on stage wearing silver as they did songs by Donna Summer, Aretha Franklin and LaBelle and also at the end of the second set Spectrum came back on stage to sing with Radiance again. the show finished at 10.05pm, walk to the bus stop, caught bus to the City which I rang Dad, caught bus to Coorparoo which Dad rang and I rang Dad back, Dad picked me up and came home. It was an FANTASTIC show with both Spectrum and Radiance sang and sounded great doing those great motown songs that has stood the test of time which they did it very well and everyone had an great time as well as the back up band did an great job. They will be back next year which I look forward to seeing them again and if you have not seen them please do yourselves an favour and SEE THEM which you will be impressed and amazed. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stuff and amazing information about the Go Show which just celebrated 60 years an month ago and Kommotion as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read.
