This is from the Queensland Times Ipswich February 7th 1970 and this was the 4IP Top 40 charts with Johnny (John) Farnham at number 1 with his version of the BJ Thomas song Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head/Two, Australian boxer Lionel Rose at number 2 with the song written by Johnny Young I Thank You, Ronnie Burns at number 3 with the song written by Johnny Young which was about Normie Rowe Smiley and Brisbane group the Sect at number 4 with Lonely Road. The new entries in the charts that week were Elvis Presley at number 35 with Don't Cry Daddy, Kamahl at number 37 with You've Got To Learn, Neil Sedaka at number 38 with Wheeling West Virginia and Glen Campbell and Bobbie Gentry at number 40 with their version of the 1958 chart topper for the Everly Brothers All I Have To Do Is Dream and besides from Johnny Farnham, Lionel Rose, Ronnie Burns and the Sect the other Australian/New Zealand acts who were in the charts that week were Kamahl for the second time at number 19 with the Sounds Of Goodbye, The Masters Apprentices at number 10 with Think About Tomorrow Today, Bobby and Laurie at number 11 with the Carroll County Accident, Brisbane singer Jon Blanchfield at number 13 with the song written by Brian Cadd and Don Mudie Son of A Simple Man, Axiom at number 14 with Arkansas Grass, Rolf Harris at number 20 with Two Little Boys, Matt Flinders at number 25 with Picking Up Peebles and Max Merritt and the Meteors at number 33 with their version of the Jerry Butler song Western Union Man.
