Classic Albums- Face To Face by the Angels
For this week's classic album segment let's have at the 1978 album Face To Face by legendary Australian rock group The Angels and it was their second album. The album was recorded @ Alberts Studios Sydney and it was released in June 1978 which it went to number 16 on the Australian charts and the album stayed in the charts for 79 weeks. The producers were the band themselves and Mark Opitz who also engineered , harry Vanda and George Young were the Production consultants and Peter Ledger did the album cover which won the Best Australian Album Cover Design Award. It's an real rockin album which holds up very well today and the songs are so good which all on the album were written by John and Rick Brewster and Doc Neeson which from the album had the hit single Take A Long Line and popular songs like Comin Down, I aint the One,Marseiles and many others. It rocks and rocks and rocks with great guitar sounds of John and Rick Brewster as well as the great singing of Doc Neeson and the drumming of Buzz Bidstrup along with Chris Bailey on bass and with the sad passing of bass player Chris Bailey on Thursday I thought it would be appropriate to do this album dedicated to him and may his work live on forever which great music never dies.
