Honest People John Williamson
Honest People is the new album by legendary Australian country singer-songwriter John Williamson. This album has all original songs written by John himself and all inspired by real things like the title track is inspired by John's childhood in Quambatook, What You Wish For is about Aussie singer Sara Storer and the emotional tug between family and career, Heatwave is about the shimmering heat of the Aussie landscape under conditions only too familiar to us in Summer, Song For Luke and Mel which it's about the love sadly tragically cut short but has hope that celebrate that love and hopefully heal and others. It is an excellent and BRILLIANT CD with great songs and John Williamson sounds just excellent on this album. He produced the album with Matt Fell who also did the mixing, engineering and playing on the album as well and Aussie singer Beccy Cole sings with John on It's All About Love as well as Amber Lawrence singing background on the album along with his wife Meg and Daughter Ami. This album is John Williamson's 50th album and it is in the charts at the moment it went to number 11 as well as it has been 44 years since he came on the scene with Old Man Emu in 1970 and still going strong as ever as he has also released his autobiography Hey True Blue. This album is a must for any Australian country music fans as well as John Williamson fans and I am giving this 4 and a half stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
