This is the autobiography of British musician and founding member of British groups the Beat and General Public Ranking Roger. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Birmingham England with St Lucian parents, his parents divorced at age 9, being exposed to a variety of music from Motown, Ska, Reggae, pop and country, started doing MC work, played in Dum Dum Boyz, joined an band called the Beat who would achieve great success in the late 70's and early 80's with hits like Tears Of A Clown, Mirror In The Bathroom, Too Nice To Talk Too, working with the Specials, The Police, The Clash, The Pretenders, Talking Heads and many others. It's an FANTASTIC, AWESOME and an BRILLIANT book with FANTASTIC, entertaining and AMAZING stories as well as very impressive and enjoyable. Ranking Roger passed away in March this year but the book had been completed and was still working when he got sick and also left an great legacy of music with the Beat and General Public which will live on forever.
