Judy
tonight I went to the movies at Bulimba with Mum where we saw Judy. Legendary American singer and actress Judy garland (Renee Zellweger) has been offered work in Britain to perform as her work in the USA has cooled which she leaves her children Lorna Luft and Joey Luft with their Father Sid (Rufus Sewell). In London she performs at the nightclub The Talk Of The Town which she does very well despite her being late on the first night and she is having issues as is dealing with pills as well as looking back at her life as an teenage in the late 30's dealing with the schedule at MGM. Mickey Deans(Finn Wittrock) whom she met at an party in the USA comes to London to surprise her and starting becoming an couple which they would eventually marry and also is having trouble being on time for her shows cause of the pills as well as others things to deal which gets interesting. It's sad, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with an FABOULOUS and an SUPERB performance by Renee Zellweger which she really nails it as Judy Garland which she does it FANTASTICALLY as well as FANTASTIC performances by Rufus Sewell, Finn Wittrock, Jessie Buckley and Michael Gambon. It's directed by Rupert Goold, produced by David Livingston and screenplay was done by Tom Edge. It's been 50 years this year since the passing of Judy Garland but the great movies and music she made lives on forever and with this movie I'm sure it will open doors for an new generation of fans to discover Judy Garland as she is still appreciated after all these year and also I hope Renee Zwelleger be nominated for an Oscar. I am giving this 4 and an half stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which I'm sure you'll enjoy it and be impressed by it.
