Stay With Me the Richard Perry Sessions Bobby Hatfield

In 1971 record producer Richard Perry was at the start of an career as one of the successful record producers who had success with Barbara Streisand, an female rock band called Fanny and Nilsson  and Bobby Hatfield who had great success with the successful American duo the Righteous Brothers with classic hits including You've Lost That Lovin Feeling, Unchained Melody, Soul and Inspiration and others which  they broke up by 1971. They started to record songs at Apple Studios  which the musicians  that would play on it included Ringo Starr, Klaus Voorman and Al Kooper in December that year but unfortunately most of what was done never saw the light of day until this year. The songs on this CD has 2 solo singles he put in 1972 Stay With Me Baby and Oo Wee Baby I Love You as well as versions of George Harrison's What Is Life  and Sour Milk Sea and Marvin Gaye's Baby Don't You Do It. It is an FANTASTIC CD with FANTASTIC songs with an great vocal performance by Bobby   and you can really listen to it  hearing these songs which some were completed and others an working progress which you would have to imagine what would have been. This is an must for Righteous Brothers fans and I give it 4 stars as it's still in the shops so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which I'm sure you will enjoy it.
