This is the 4IP charts from the Telegraph January 2nd 1975 and Glen Campbell was at number 1 with Bonaparte's Retreat which was an cover of the Pee Wee King song, John Denver at number 2 with Back Home Again, Abba at number 3 with Honey Honey and Olivia Newton John at number 4 with I Love You I Honestly Love You written by Peter Allen and Jeff Barry and the new entry in the chart week was the Carpenters with their version of the Marvelettes 1961 hit Please Mr Postman at number 39. The Australians in the charts that week besides from Olivia Newton John were at number 9 The Moir Sisters with Good Morning How Are You, Melbourne group Jigsaw who in the early 1970's backed up Australian singer Johnny Chester at number 11 with A Rose Has To Die, Daryl Braithwaite at number 15 with his first solo hit You're My World which was the cover of the Cilla Black 1964 hit, Brian May and ABC Showband at number 25 with Theme From Rush, Helen Reddy at number 26 with Angie Baby written by Alan O'Day, number 27 William Shakespeare with My Little Angel written by Harry Vanda and George Young and at number 30 also with Can't Stop Myself From Loving You also written by harry Vanda and george Young, Sherbet at number 33 with Silvery Moon, Gary Shearston at number 38 with I Get A Kick Out Of You and Brian Cadd at number 40 with Let Go.
