The Boys In the Boat

This afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo to see the movies The Boys In the Boat which it's based on an true story. It's Seattle 1936 in the height of the Great Depression Joe Rantz(Callum Turner) who is studying engineering at University of Washington joins up a rowing team led by Al Ulbrickson (Joel Edgerton) which is one of the 8 people to join the eights and are training for the Regatta competitiosn as well as for the Berlin Olympic Games, reconnects with friend Joyce(Hadley Robinson), encounters with his estranged father (Alec Newman) and it gets interesting. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT acting by Joel Edgerton, Callum Turner, Hadley Robinson, Alec Newman, Peter Guinness and Courtney Henggeler. George Clooney directed it as well as producing it with Grant Heslov and The performances by Joel Edgerton and Callum Turner are one their best they have given. I give it 4 and an half stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
