The new entries in the chart that week was The Raspberries including Eric Carmen with I Wanna Be With You at number 36 and Bulldog with No at number 34 and the Australian acts on the charts that week were Russell Morris at number 9 with Wings Of A Eagle, the Bootleg Family with Your Mama Don't Dance which was shared with the Original by Loggins and Messina at number 16, Sherbet at number 17 with You Got The Gun, Brisbane group New World at number 20 with Living Next Door To Alice which was the original version about 4 years before Smokie's version written by Brisbanite Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn, John (Johnny) Farnham with Don't You Know It's Magic written by Brian Cadd at number 27, Melbourne group Jigsaw who backed Australian singer Johnny Chester was at number 32 at Mademoissle Ninette and Helen Reddy at number 40 with I Am Woman which she wrote it with Ray Burton who was from the Telstars, The Delltones, The Questions, the Executives and Ayres Rock.
