This is from the Telegraph February 19th 1964(60 Years ago today) and this is the 4BK 10 charts with the first three spots were dominated by the Beatles I Saw Her Standing There which was from the Please Please Me album at number 1, I Want To Hold Your Hand at number 2 and She Loves You at number 3, the Dave Clark Five at number 4 with Glad All Over, Little Pattie with He's Blonde Headed Stompie Wompie Real Gone Surfer Boy written by Australian singer Jay Justin at number 5, Frank Ifield at number 6 with Please, Jimmy Hannan who at that time was hosting the Australian music show Saturday Date at number 7 with Beach Ball which was an cover of the City Surfers song which had Roger McGuinn before the Byrds, Bobby Darin and Terry Melcher which Roger aka Jim back then wrote it with Frank Gari and the Bee Gees are on backing vocals on Jimmy's version, The Renegades with Kuhuna which was produced by Johnny Devlin at number 8, Dave Berry at number 9 with Memphis Tennesee which was an cover of the Chuck Berry song and at number 10 Digger Revell and the Denvermen with the song written by Johnny Devlin and backing vocals with the sibling trio the Flanagans(Peter Margaret and Paul) My Little Rocker's Turned Surfie.
