4GG Top 40 charts/Top 20 album charts April 1977

This is from the Gold Coast Bulletin April 7th 1977 and this was the 4GG Top 40 singles with Mary McGregor at number 1 with Torn Between Two Lovers, Flash and the Pan (Harry Vanda and George Young) at number 2, marcia Hines at number 3 with Until Your Love Broke Through and at number 4 Shaun Cassidy(son of Shirley Jones and Jack Cassidy as well as half brother of David Cassidy) with his version of the Eric Carmen song That's Rock and Roll and the other Australian acts that on the chart week were Air Supply at number 8 with Empty Pages, John Paul Young at number 11 with I Wanna Do It With You, Ted Mulry Gang at number 18 with Jamaica Rum, Mark Holden at number 27 with Hey My Love and Debbie Byrne at number 40 with You Promised Me The Love and New Zealand band Dragon at number 34 with Get That Jive. On The Top 20 albums that week with Electric Light Orchestra at number 1 with A New World Record, Fleetwood Mac at number 2 with Rumours, Pink Floyd at number 3 with Animals and the Eagles at number 4 with Hotel California which was the first for Joe Walsh as an member and last for Randy Mesiner who left not after that and the new entries in the chart that week were the soundtrack album A Star Is Born at number 8 and Bread at number with Lost Without Your Love which the Australian acts on the chart that week were the self titled by Air Supply who was playing at the Playroom that week with Wickety Wak and Dark Tan and Marcia Hines at number 13 with Shining.
