4BH Top 40 charts January 1965

This is from the Southside News January 20th 1965 and this was the 4BH Top 40 charts with Julie Rogers at number 1 with the Wedding, the boy from Moorooka Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs at number 2 with their version of the Judy Garland song Over The Rainbow, Gene Pitney at number 3 with I'm Gonna Be Strong and the Beatles at number 4 with I Feel Fine which had feedback which was one of the first heard on record. Besides from Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs who was also in the charts for the 2nd time as well as their version of the Fats Domino song Sick and Tired at number 18 the other Australian acts on the charts that week were Little Pattie at number 13 with Surfin Time Again written by Jay Justin and Joe Halford, Brisbane group the Pacifics at number 17 with Slowly But Surely/Lost My Baby, Bryan Davies at number 22 with Tell The Other Guy and New Zealand singer Dinah Lee who was making inroads in Australia at the time at number 40 with I'm Walkin/Who Stole The Sugar and among the other acts in the charts that week were The Rolling Stones at number 5 with Little Red Rooster, The Supremes twice with Baby Love at number 16 and Come See About Me at number 30, Petula Clark at number 8 with the song written by Tony Hatch Downtown, Elvis Presley at number 14 with Ain't That Lovin You Baby/Ask Me, The Beach Boys at number 25 with Dance Dance Dance, Manfred Mann at number 33 with their version of the Shirelles song Sha La La and Gerry and the Pacemakers at number 36 with Ferry Cross The Mersey.
