Elvis Presley recorded Live on Stage In Memphis
On March 20th 1974 Elvis Presley who was on an sold out US tour which ran over 150 shows performed at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis which it was recorded and it was released on July 7th 1974 which went to number 33 in the USA, number 27 in Canada and number 44 in the UK and also number 1 on the US country charts. It is now being reissued as it is the expanded version which includes newly remixed and remastered audio of the concert including the songs that were not on the live album as well as an second CD which has a recent located recording in Richmond Virginia 2 days before as well as 5 rehearsal performances on August 16th 1974 in Hollywood at RCA Studios. It is an EXCELLENT and a BRILLIANT double CD with great songs and it has a great booklet which has rear photos of Elvis on the 1974 tour which looks great too with Ken Sharp doing the liner notes. It is 40 years since this live album came out and it holds up very well and it has a mixture of the classic Elvis hits as well as the songs of that time including a version of Let Me Be There and Your Mama Don't Dance. This double CD is a must for any Elvis fans and I am giving this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
